Dog Jewelry - Dog Charms

The first yorkie is Emma and the second is Dr. Frank. We found this process of taking a photo and making a charm from the photo.

We were amazed at how nice the charms were and how well they resembled the photos and thought other people may be interested.

These make great pet lover gifts.
These charms also make great memorial or sympathy gifts.

Yorkshire Terrier Grooming

We've made 3 videos on grooming a yorkie. One video teaches how to groom a yorkie in full coat. The second video teaches how to give a yorkie a puppy cut. The third video is the one that is shown here which teaches how to cut a visor on a yorkie to keep the hair out of their eyes.

To view all three
yorkie grooming videos
or after viewing this video you will be taken to the yorkie grooming page.

Yorkie Puppies - Bessy and Teddy Litter

Teddy is now officially a daddy. Teddy is one of our favorite yorkie sires and is now proven. He has an excellent coat and topline and really is proportioned just right. This breeding wasn't so much as to the match up of Bessy and Teddy but to prove Teddy.

The breeding we are looking foward to seeing is Baily and Teddy. They both have similar body types and both are very cute yorkies.

Back to Bessy and Teddy's litter. She went into labor 10:00 pm Friday night and had one male puppy weighting 4.1 oz. We gave her a shot of oxytocin and she continued in a light to mild labor for 3 hrs. But no heavy contractions. After that she settled in and started focusing in on her puppy. We couldn't feel anymore puppies but we still felt things weren't right and that she still had at least one more puppy.

The next morning she still didn't have another puppy. We gave her another shot of oxytocin to bring her into labor but she still didn't have anymore puppies. It never fails, with this being a Holiday weekend our vet is closed. Normally in a situation like this we would take her in to have an x-ray. This way we would know for sure.

So far, Bessy and the puppy are doing just fine but we are going to have to monitor Bessy's behavior and temp. closely. If there are any changes we will have to take her to the emergency hospital.

This is one of the most chalanging aspects of breeding yorkshire terriers, making the right decision at the right time.

Yorkshire Terrier Puppies - Madison and Dicky's Litter

Leo and Chloe are now one week old and Madison is doing a great job at taking care of her puppies.
You wouldn't even think she was the same yorkie based upon her first litter.

You just never know how a female yorkie is going to be on their first litter. After a week Leo is 3.5 oz. and Chloe is 6 oz.

We are planning on keeping both of the puppies assuming they are the size and quality we require. To view Madison's picture and pedigree.
